What is Chatilus?

Chatilus is a local-first browser for AI conversation history. It helps you import, search, browse and organize conversations from tools like ChatGPT, Cursor and Gemini.

Is my data uploaded?

By default, no. Chatilus is designed around local import, local storage and local search.

Which data sources are supported?

ChatGPT is the primary stable target. Cursor and Gemini are in beta. Other sources such as Claude, NotebookLM and Perplexity are planned or under research.

Where is my data stored?

Imported data is stored locally on your device, using a local SQLite database.

Does it use external AI APIs?

Not by default. Future AI-assisted features may be optional and explicit.

Is Chatilus open source?

The source code and release plan are still being decided. The website and product are currently in early beta preparation.

Is it the same as ChatLens?

ChatLens was the early development name. Chatilus is the public product name.
